Coming from New England, United States, Tracksmith is a new brand of running equipment. Headquartered halfway through the Boston Marathon, in Wellesley, Tracksmith was inspired by the classic aesthetics of Ivy League to create a refreshing new clothing line. Combining tradition and innovation, the collection includes t-shirts and shorts, produced only with quality materials. The Grayboy t-shirt is Tracksmith's basic. Produced with Varsity fabric (a blend of 88% cotton and 12% rayon), made in a 100-year old textile mill in Massachusetts, the t-shirt was designed to be soaked with sweat, worn and washed for a lifetime or more. Beyond Grayboy, the other piece that caught my attention were the Longfellow shorts. Constructed with a lightweight fabric from Switzerland, the shorts stand out for being water and abrasion resistant, the beautiful tailoring and practical details such as a pocket for your phone, keys or documents. With photos by Emily Maye, exemplary aesthetics and a small collection of quality garments to start with, Tracksmith may well be the Rapha of athletics!
"Neither too long nor too short. Neither binding nor baggy. Lightweight, but not at all flimsy or stripped down. We designed the Longfellow with clean lines and tailoring details that make it the most versatile, least running-short-looking running short ever made."
