Celebrating half a century of existence, St. Catherine's College in Oxford is one of the most iconic buildings designed by Arne Jacobsen, now observed in detail on a magnificent film commissioned by Skandium, the best shop of nordic products in London. Directed by Geswerk Films, the film shows the vision and attention to detail of the danish architect throughout the project. In addition to the building and the beautiful garden, the influence of the architect was felt in all interior and exterior elements, from the Fritz Hansen funiture, Louis Poulsen lighting, cutlery, handles, textiles and even the fish used in the lakes.
"The architect of St. Catherine's, Arne Jacobsen, designed the college both to reflect elements of a traditional Oxford college and to be an entirely modern solution to the challenge of creating an integrated environment which would be both practical and aesthetically pleasing."
