De Vorm is one of the furniture brands that impressed us the most in recent times by the beauty of their collection, functionality and innovative in how they use materials such as PET felt, made from recycled plastic bottles. The sculptural Pod armchair, produced in this material, is the most striking piece of the Dutch brand and the perfect stage for a new series of interviews that De Vorm, in collaboration with What Design Can Do (a platform and annual conference on the power of design), held to several creatives. From chefs to architects, through designers and artists, the Pod Sessions reveal their inspirations, thoughts and how they influence your work environment and culture. The first four interviews, which also include the architect Ole Scheeren and the journalist Jeroen Junt, we highlight the one with Brazilian chef Alex Atala, who describes the food as a major foundation of all cultures, as well as with Sam Bompass, gastronomic creative from Bompass & Parr agency, which highlights the importance of the environment to the perception of what we eat. We look forward to seeing the next interviews with graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister and olfactory artist Sissel Tolaas.
“Never in my life I could imagine that doing brazilian ingredients in Brazil could be recognized as a good chef.” Alex Atala
