Ospite & Piccy

I always loved the creations of legendary Vico Magistretti, the Louisiana armchair, the Raffles sofa or Atollo lamp. Recently, i've discovered two magnificent pieces that resume the simplicity, functionality and poetic sense of the italian architect and designer. Manufactured by Campeggi, the pieces were designed 50 years apart, showing that his technical language, yet decorative, was maintened during the carreer. While the Ospite folding bed (1996), presents a discrete design, a kind of campaign or colonial piece, the Piccy armchair (1946), one of his first creations, has a beech waxed frame and cotton canvas seat, perfect for the hot days to come.
