Alchemy Works

Since a long time that we admire Apolis, founded by brothers Raan and Shea Parton, for the beautiful collection of apparel and accessories, as well as the environmental and social concerns, as part of the products is manufactured in cooperatives in Uganda, Peru and Bangladesh. Under the motto 'advocacy through industry', the Parton duo created an exemplary business model, combining style with a distribution platform for artisans in developing countries.
Recently, Freund von Freunden interviewed Raan Parton, showing his world in Los Angeles, motivations and his other business, the store Alchemy Works. Located next to Apolis and acting as a kind of neighborhood clubhouse, Alchemy Works shows an eclectic and comprehensive selection of products, a refreshing point of contact with the public, where creativity is the watchword. Featuring the work of friends, artists and brands with which he identifies, the store reflects the personal style of Raan Parton mixed with Apolis aesthetics, resulting in a warm and organic space, a cabinet of curiosities of modern times. In Alchemy Works there is no dominant theme, making each visit to the shop an authentic journey of discovery of new talent and products. A beautiful Fiat Abarth 750 Sypder convertible from 1959, bronze cubes by Tim Campbell, photographs by Will Adler, Almond surfboards, Warby Parker eyewear or Stephen Kenn's leather bags, are just some of the products you can find on Alchemy Works, a must visit in Los Angeles.
