In a country that continues to try to find an identity (and a path) in the field of design, the Craft Week emerges as a breath of fresh air. Founded in 2016 as a furniture brand, Portuguese Makers anticipates the launch of its collection with an event that brings together Portuguese and international designers, architects and artisans.
With an impressive guest list, the Craft Week will count on the 6 days of the event - which will take place in Cascais at Casa de Santa Maria - with a series of workshops that will cover various materials such as ceramics, wood or cork. In addition to being able to produce objects in different materials each day, participants at Craft Week will also have the presence of creatives such as Cecilie Manz, Marc Morro or Hugo Passos as speakers, making it a truly must-see event.
Why I love it:
- The first big event in Portugal dedicated to craft and design
- A great group of international and Portuguese speakers
- Having the opportunity to make products in typical Portuguese materials
