Being one of the great classics of French design and one of my favorite pieces, the Tolix A chair, designed in 1934 by Xavier Pauchard, is a special object for simplicity, robustness and industrial design aspect. For the first time in eighty years, Tolix launched a new chair: the T14, designed by Patrick Norguet. Being an offspring of the A model, T14 remains true to the brand's fundamental values: simplicity, functionality, comfort, and quality.
"The idea is not to overthrow a myth, but to write the history that will follow..."
T14 is a clean-lined and elegant chair designed barely a few months after the opening of a resolutely modern production facility : now in Autun, the brand's kingdom, tradition and modernity mingle for improved flexibility. Shaped like a shell, the T14 is made up of four assembled elements. Its innovative feature is the use of technical plastic for the connecting parts and solid wood for some of the legs. T14 is made of sturdy stainless steel, making it ideal for outdoor use.
