Since we read the interview by Freund von Freunden to the founders of Openhouse, that we're fascinated by the positive approach of the magazine coming from Barcelona. Founded by photographer Mari Luz Vidal and designer Andrew Trotter, a biannual magazine began with the idea of opening the doors of their own home as a makeshift gallery (and later dinners with Japanese chef Nobu Kawagoe, among other activities), in a true sharing spirit. Inspired by this initial idea, the founders ended up creating a coated magazine of the same relaxed attitude, showing creative people from around the world in their homes and private spaces, with a special focus on art, design and food. Having been recently launched in O Apartamento, in Lisbon, by Mari Luz and Andrew, the third Openhouse issue shows once again that the greatest luxury of all are friends, the little moments of everyday life and a simple and beautiful lifestyle. Including visits to the house in Majorca of the late architect Jørn Utzon, Analiese Gregory's cabin in Sydney and an interview with Karen Mordechair, creator of the Sunday Suppers, the third issue also shows a small urban garden in Sweden, a house in Finland, a villa in Tuscany, a classic boat in a Menorca regatta and much, much more. A must-read!
