Grandes Vidas Portuguesas II

After having launched the first four volumes of the collection 'Grandes Vidas Portuguesas' in collaboration with the Imprensa Nacional - Casa da Moeda, Pato Lógico now launches the new books in this series dedicated to prominent personalities in the history of Portugal. Illustrated in an exemplary manner, the books describe the lives of Alfredo Keil, Aristides de Sousa Mendes, Ana de Castro Osório and Azeredo Perdigão, and its importance to the country's history. While the artist Alfredo Keil became known for creating the anthem 'A Portuguesa', consul Aristides de Sousa Mendes saved thousands of Jews and refugees during World War II, Ana de Castro Osório was a prominent feminist and creator of children's literature in Portugal and José de Azeredo Perdigão was the first president of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and important figure in the cultural and Scientific dissemination in the country. Although for children and led to the creation of new readers, this set of books are no doubt very interesting for grown-ups too!
