Weekly Inspiration #36

Arper Accessories by Lievore Altherr Molina - Designing some of Arper's most recognized pieces, Lievore Altherr Molina studio recently designed a line of accessories for the italian brand. In addition to Song hanger and the colorful array of cushions, I especially love these wooden dolls family, a modern version of the typical Kokeshi from Japan.

Studio Ilse by Leslie Williamson - Being one of the best photographers of interiors, Leslie Williamson visited the London studio of designer Ilse Crawford to capture the ambiance of this creative space. In this inspiring series of photographs we can see the backstage where projects such as Ett Hem in Stockholm or the furniture range for De La Espada had born.

From Here It Looks Like a Mountain - Open to the public until September, this exhibition at CAM in Gulbenkian starts from a metaphor of three small European countries with larger neighbours as its starting point, touching on ambivalent questions such as appearing and being; desiring and seeking a different, seemingly bigger and better, reality; and returning to one’s comfort zone. From Here It Looks Like a Mountain includes work by AVPD, Ann Louise Overgaard Andersen, Claudia Larcher, Dalila Gonçalves, Gregor Graf, Jeppe Hein, Katharina Lackner, Miguel Palma, Nuno Cera, and Tove Storch. A must visit!
