After having lunch at the Vietnamese restaurant District Mot (we loved the chicken curry), we headed out to Mulackstrasse, a street in Mitte, Berlin, where you can find the most beautiful shops. The first shop we saw was Atelier Oblique, a brand founded by Argentine designer Mario Lombardo. With a monochromatic interior, white walls and black painted furniture, and a magnificent aroma, the space is perfect to display the collection of locally handmade candles with fragrances from Grasse, the center of French perfumery.
Together with Robertet, founded in 1850, Lombardo developed 27 compositions (one for each letter of the alphabet plus the & sign) used in the aromatic traditional candles of the Alphabet Collection. Adopting four large groups - floral, oriental, woody and fresh - the Berlin brand certainly has a candle for everyone, inspired by references as different as love, melancholy, lightness or the aroma of powder on a baby's skin. We brought the C candle, with notes of bergamot and fig, a fresh scent that dares to change.
Why I Love it:
- The large range of amazing fragrances
- The beautiful design and concept of the brand
- The great service in the shop
