Founded in 1964, Kettal has started with the production of typical folding beach chairs. Half a century later, the Spanish brand has collections signed by Patricia Urquiola, Hella Jongerius or Jasper Morrison and recently embraced the reissue of Basket Chair, designed in the fifties by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel. Always fascinated by exploring new materials and techniques, Nanna Ditzel has become one of the most renowned Danish designers through her unique approach, crossing a poetic sense with functionality and Basket is a case in point. Featuring an organic design and great simplicity, the Basket Chair is especially elegant because of the large bowl-shaped wicker seat, based on a lightweight structure in oak. The reissue will be available in a version for outdoor, in teak and artificial fiber, and in the original, with cushions in Hallingdal fabric by Kvadrat, also designed by Ditzel.
