Twentytwentyone has long been one of my favorite design shops, not only by the careful selection of products, a mix of emerging talents and established names, but also for promoting design actively. In addition to editing several british design classics, the London store will host an exhibition and online auction, from the 17th and 21st of September, of pieces from the house inhabited by iconic designers Robin & Lucienne Day. Aiming to fund the Foundation which takes care of the Couple's estate, the exhibition will present an unique selection of furniture, prototypes, textiles, prints and objects collected and made by the Days throughout their adult lives. Allowing a close look on the life and eclectic taste of the couple, this auction also allows us to observe the magnificent creative vein of the Days: Robin with his furniture design and Lucienne creating unforgettable textile design patterns. Not to be missed!
"I think my parents would have been happy to know that the objects they loved will find new homes with people who will treasure and enjoy them. The funds raised will contribute to the Foundation’s ongoing mission to share knowledge of their work and maintain the integrity of their design legacies as an inspiration for future generations," Paula Day, the couple's daugher.
